Tip: If you are syncing your sitelink issues with ACC, and you also use Autodesk Desktop Connector, you can look for your scans in the "Sitelink.ai (Auto-Generated)" folder.
Capture and Export your 3D Scan
1) Capture a 3D scan and publish using the iOS Sitelink app.
2) Once published, find your sitelink in the Portal (app.sitelink.ai)
- The three-dot icon indicates a sitelink has at least one scan.
3) Click on the sitelink to open it and then find your scan in the 3D Scans section.
4) Click on the download icon. This will download a .acs file.
Open in Navisworks
1) Append the newly downloaded .acs file to your model.
2) The scan should appear in the correct location in your model.
3) You may need to adjust some visibility settings to your preference.
- Open Global Options
- Select File Readers > ASCII Laser
- Change the sample rate to adjust point density
- Check the "Use point color values" to enable colored points
- Refresh your project to see the changes.
